Project Management Officer

**Full Time Permanent Position**

**Band 7 - Salary Range $106,626 to $119,182 per annum + 11.5% Super + ADO**

**Salary offered will depend on level of skills and experience.**

**The Opportunity**

This is an opportunity to be part of delivering two exciting major projects. It is a great opportunity for anyone who is looking to progress their career in project management by being part of a dynamic and fast paced team. Projects are at the early stages of design so this will be an opportunity to be part of shaping the developments that respond to the needs of the community.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Undertake all tasks necessary for the successful management of Major capital projects including corporate reporting, governance, contract payments, and contract management.
- Establish and maintain robust project governance frameworks, including project charters, risk management plans, and communication strategies, to ensure transparency, accountability, and effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement quality management processes and standards to monitor and evaluate the performance of construction projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Provide budgetary control and provide regular reports to Council, Executive, Project Sponsor and Project Owner on all aspects of assigned programs and projects.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives with the EPMO, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and drive innovation in project management and construction delivery practices.

**About you**

**_ To be successful in this role you will have the following:_**
- Tertiary qualifications plus post graduate qualifications in engineering, building, project management or equivalent, or qualifications in another field with several years of subsequent relevant experience.
- Extensive experience in contract management, negotiation and dispute resolution of large-scale local government infrastructure projects.
- Experience in working with and contributing to multi-tasked team outcomes and work environment.
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Current valid white card (construction induction training).
