**About the School**: Craigslea State High School provides a caring, safe and disciplined learning environment for Years 7 to 12. The school was founded in 1975 and aims to provide a quality education and excellent foundation for students to strive for greatness in all that they do.
**About the Role**: The Acting Head of Department (Secondary) will ideally lead the eLearning, Design Technology and STEM programs at Craigslea State High School.
As the Acting Head of Department (Secondary) you will focus on:
- leading curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiatives.
- participating in delivering the vision of State Schools Division.
- developing the quality of teaching and learning.
- nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
- Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in life-long learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.
