With your can-do attitude, you will be responsible for providing general assistance in the full range of domestic duties to ensure our residents are able to "Live Life to the Full" in our home-like environment. We are looking to hire a casual employee who has previous experience in laundry and housekeeping. This role is based in our Cootamundra facility. Hours of work on offer are: Cleaning 0700-1530 Monday-Friday and 0700-1500- weekends Laundry 0700-1530 Monday 0700-1500- Tuesday - Friday 1000-1600- Monday 1000-1500 Tuesday and Fridays **As a Support Service Employee your duties will include but not be limited to**: - Assist with full range of domestic duties - Clean picture frames, wall ornaments and sanitize all towel dispensers, light and air-conditioning switches - Be responsible for the general cleanliness of the kitchen, including all appliances, storage areas, work benches and floors - Prepare clothing, garments and linen for washing and drying and perform those duties using safe handling of laundry chemicals - Make beds, change linen, turn mattress where necessary - Wet dust all picture frames and wall ornaments - Wet wipe and sanitize all towel dispensers, light and air-conditioning switches - Wipe over all lights in front foyer, lounge, activities room, and at the entrance. - Clean exhaust hoods in the kitchen - A current NSW Driver License - Sensitive to the needs of the elderly in a residential care setting - Ability to work under minimum supervision - Effective communication skills both written and verbal - Basic computer skill - Understanding of workplace safety - Experience as a Maintenance Person in Aged Care or similar industry is desirable - Able to provide evidence of COVID-19 & influenza vaccinations **What’s in it for you?** - You will be joining a highly functional & experienced team - Competitive salary package - NFP salary sacrificing benefits + meal & entertainment allowance up to $15,900 - Annual leave loading - Discounted private health insurance - Access to our Employees Assistance Program - Maxxia Salary Packaging and Rewards, including discounts at major retailers, cinemas and restaurants - Heart HQ our Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) People Platform that is packed with exclusive benefits and features designed to help you Celebrate, Connect and Succeed. **About Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT)** We are a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to empower older people to ‘live life to the full’.
