In this rewarding role you will work in a team environment where every day will be different. With your can-do attitude, you will be responsible for providing general assistance in the full range of domestic duties to ensure our residents are able to "Live Life to the Full" in our home-like environment. This is a casual position working approximately 60 hours per fortnight across a variety of laundry and cleaning duties. - Assist with full range of domestic duties - Clean picture frames, wall ornaments and sanitize all towel dispensers, light and air-conditioning switches - Be responsible for the general cleanliness of the kitchen, including all appliances, storage areas, work benches and floors - Prepare clothing, garments and linen for washing and drying and perform those duties using safe handling of laundry chemicals - Make beds, change linen, turn mattress where necessary - Assist in mealtimes and social activities - Previous experience in a similar role within aged care/hospitals is desirable - Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal - Ability to manage and prioritise work tasks in a timely manner - Genuine enthusiasm, care and compassion in your commitment to working with elderly people - Provide evidence of COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations **About Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT)** We are a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to empower older people to ‘live life to the full’.
