**Job Description**:
**The Role**

Due to a significant project pipeline, AECOM has an opportunity for a Cost Controller to join our Project Controls Business in Brisbane. As part of your role, you will provide support and expertise on projects, ensuring proper controls on your projects and assisting Project Managers and Operational leaders to deliver optimal profit and cash results for AECOM. You will be given exposure to a wide range of projects across AECOM's diverse project portfolio.

As a trusted advisor, you will be responsible for;
- monitoring and preparing financial information relating to the projects within your portfolio
- ensuring project risks and opportunities are identified early
- develop and coordinate project procedures to ensure efficient cost control of projects
- the recording, controlling, forecasting and reporting of all financial matters in relation to the projects

The role will see you participating in project health reviews to identify financial risks and issues, and proactively follow up to ensure the appropriate actions have been taken. This is a true partnering role, enabling you to contribute to driving the P&L and cash performance by providing insights to the Project Managers on how project and business profitability and cash performance can be improved.

**About You**
- Ideally, 3-5 years’ experience working as a project accountant or cost controller role, or in a similar role
- Experience working in a related industry such as Engineering Consulting or Construction Services
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts including how project information and performance relates to P&L and cash performance

**Qualifications**:

- Degree qualification in Finance/Accounting - preferred
- Competent in systems eg. Oracle, MS office suite
- Proficient with Project Accounting/Cost Control software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
