**About SafeWork NSW**

SafeWork NSW is the state’s workplace health and safety regulator. Our focus is to reduce work related fatalities, serious injuries and illnesses by securing compliance with work health and safety and associated legislation. We do this by undertaking a mix of responsive and proactive programs of work focused on high-risk harms across all industries, aligned to our strategic plan and regulatory priorities.

We’re seeking a proactive and highly organised person to provide executive level administrative support and leadership to enable effective operations and governance of the SafeWork NSW Research, Digital and Intelligence Directorate. The Directorate supports the delivery of SafeWork NSW policy, programs and operations through the provision of secure digital systems, data-driven intelligence and evidence-based insights and research.

**About the role**

As the Directorate Support Officer, you’ll support a team that values collaboration, curiosity and impact, and your work will help ensure we stay efficient, agile and well-supported. The Research, Digital and Intelligence Directorate has five teams - Research and Insights, Academic Studies, Operational Intelligence, Information and Systems Management, and Systems and Data Support.

You’ll be working directly to support the Director and the broader leadership team, helping ensure the Directorate functions smoothly and effectively. We’re looking for someone who has strength in building relationships across the organisation, is comfortable working independently, takes initiative and has confidence in navigating ambiguity to get things done. We work very closely with all business units across the organisation, so you’ll get great exposure and quickly build understanding of SafeWork as the workplace health and safety regulator in NSW.**
