**Your day to day**
You will be leading and managing a highly engaged housekeeping team to ensure guest rooms and hotel spaces are cleaned to the highest standard in line with our IHG Clean Promise. Cleanliness is top of mind in the current climate of our industry, and your department plays a vital role in providing peace of mind to our guests.

You will manage the daily housekeeping operations of rostering, room allocations and inspections whilst driving manning and cost efficiencies. Your team will share your meticulous eye for detail in ensuring our spaces are perfect every time, and providing our guests with a memorable stay. Utilising workplace health and safety best practices, managing supplier relationships and liaising with other hotel departments is all part of your day to day.

In this role you will be instrumental in the recruitment and training of your diverse and engaged team members. The successful Hotel services Assistant Manager will be a hands-on leader, someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and establish a strong sense of success within their team and the wider hotel team.

**What we need from you**
To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Previous experience in a hotel environment leading, developing and engaging a team whilst driving results and colleague engagement.
- Hands-on working style with strong organisational skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment prioritising workload.
- Experience in workforce management with rostering in line with hotel activity and manning forecasts.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office with Opera experience advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid knowledge of risk management and health and safety best practices.
- Unlimited rights to work in Australia and the ability to work on a rotating roster including weekends and Public Holidays.
