What is the role?

Applications are sought from suitably qualified applicants wishing to be considered for the role of Vetting Analyst.

Reporting to a Team Leader, Personnel Security Vetting., The vetting Analyst is required to conduct high level security clearance assessments and interviews at the Positive Vetting and TS-PA levels, in accordance with the Protective Security Policy Framework and AFP National Guidelines.

You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.

What will you do?

AFP Personnel Security Vetting assists AFP business through the provision of a security vetting at all levels. This work may include:
Completing security clearance assessments at the Positive Vetting and TS-PA levels
Completing security clearance maintenance measures such as Annual Appraisals & Change of Circumstances
Provide security briefings as required
Investigation and assessment of security incidents in relation to personnel security
Essential Requirements

You must be an Australian Citizen.
Contemporary knowledge and experience relevant to the role (which includes interviewing/report writing)
Desirable Requirements

The following skills and/or experience would be highly regarded:
Certificate IV in Government (Personnel Security)

Interviewing & report writing experience

Selection Criteria

Organising your work, making sound decisions and achieving outcomes
Communicating and working effectively with other people
