About the Engagement

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst to join one of our clients in Canberra. This role involves leading and coordinating testing activities, providing oversight to junior testers, and ensuring rigorous Verification and Validation (V&V) in accordance with Test and Evaluation (T&E) policy. You will play a critical role in test planning, execution, reporting, and risk management across different project phases, including Developmental T&E (DT&E), Acceptance T&E (AT&E), and mission application testing.

Responsibilities

NOTE: This role is only open for Australian Citizens with AGSVA Negative Vetting 2 Clearance

  • Provide leadership and guidance as a senior member of a mid-sized test team, mentoring junior testers and delivering test reports to management.
  • Plan, develop, and execute test cases and procedures to verify and validate ICT systems and mission applications.
  • Conduct Verification and Validation (V&V) activities aligned with T&E frameworks and policy.
  • Support the V&V Manager in coordinating, planning, and executing test phases (DT&E, AT&E, Preview T&E).
  • Conduct reviews of test documentation, identify process improvements, and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate risks and issues throughout the testing lifecycle, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Perform defect management, including review, assignment, monitoring, and follow-up actions.
  • Provide final system and application testing to confirm compliance with required standards and operational readiness.
  • Contribute to reporting, coordination, and stakeholder engagement tasks in collaboration with the V&V Manager.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience as a Senior Tester, with a focus on infrastructure core services testing.
  • Demonstrated experience in complex ICT environments, with expertise in application testing, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools such as Microfocus Octane, ALM, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of the SDLC, ICT governance frameworks, and operational environments.
  • Proven track record of executing tests for large, complex systems and system-of-systems integrations.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
