**Your new role**
Your day-to-day duties will include:

- Preparation of working papers and returns in relation to taxation, such as monthly Business Activity Statements for GST, monthly and annual Payroll Tax reconciliations and returns and annual Fringe Benefits Tax returns, and arrange all payments required.
- Reconcile, prepare and document general ledger asset and liability accounts monthly, making entries to correct as appropriate, maintaining all records to support the general ledger.
- Perform end of month processing, including prepayment, accrual and miscellaneous entries, and creation of relevant reports and working papers.
- Assist in preparation of monthly and annual statutory accounts to provide accurate and timely returns which comply with relevant tax legislation, accounting standards, and NSW Treasury requirements.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of team systems, policies and procedures.
- Prepare daily and monthly cash flow forecasts and assist in the preparation of AM’s monthly recurrent and capital fund requirements report.
- Respond to and action client’s requests relating to accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner.
- Maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
- Learning and navigating through various computer systems
- Undertake follow up action on overdue client and customer invoices to ensure payment

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Must have SAP experience
- Accounting Degree and/or equivalent experience in financial services role.
- Experience in Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in financial accounting and reporting including experience working with large volumes of complex data, especially data reconciliation.
- Advanced capability to communicate clearly, concisely and appropriately both orally and in writing.
- Experience using multiple computer-based systems and ability to learn new systems.

**What you'll get in return**
Contract durations are typically 3-6 months, however we sometimes get roles in for as short as one month if you are interested in something shorter term. Contracts often have the potential for extension and tend to pay between $40 and $60 per hour + super (these details will be clarified in regards to specific roles when they are officially released).
