Aptella is seeking an **Apprentice Field Service Technician** to commence in **July 2025**out of our Archerfield branch. In this hands-on, field-based role, you’ll be trained and mentored by experienced technicians as you build your skills working at the forefront of market leading operational technology with some of the most advanced tech in the industry.

In this key role, you’ll support our customers by installing, diagnosing, and repairing advanced systems, while also helping to optimise equipment usage in the field. You’ll work across a diverse range of technologies including high-precision machine guidance, fleet management solutions, collision avoidance systems, Wi-Fi networks, and emerging technologies entering the market.

These solutions are deployed across a variety of assets within the mining operational landscape—ranging from excavators, drill rigs, dozers, and haul trucks to pile drivers, light vehicles, solar trailers, and fixed installations.

As your technical expertise grows, so will your impact—enabling you to deliver even greater value to our customers and helping shape the future of mining technology.

You’ll also gain experience by:

- Installation and servicing of operational technology on earth moving equipment
- Remotely diagnose faulty equipment in the remote operations centre
- Work alongside customers in transforming their operations

This is a fantastic opportunity to get paid while you learn, with **structured training** and support to complete a **Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology** through TAFE QLD - a must-have qualification for this role.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Follow safety procedures to protect yourself, your team, and customers
- Safety is our number 1 priority and this is policed stringently. We complete Drug and Alcohol testing monthly for site access and mobilisations.
- Fatigue monitoring and adherence to safe work practises are daily occurrences and must remain top of mind.
- Available to work 5:2 roster/ 12hr shifts
- Keep accurate records of your work, repairs, and customer feedback
- Assist with onsite installations, calibrations, and troubleshooting
- Support the diagnosis and repair of electronic and mechanical systems under supervision
- Work alongside internal teams to resolve customer enquiries
- Contribute to phone-based customer support
- Take ownership of your learning journey, including TAFE attendance
- Stay up to date with evolving products and workflows
