Eagle Aircraft Maintenance (EAM) has been successfully operating for over 15 years, beginning as a small operation in Cessnock, NSW. At its core is a team of dedicated professionals who have supported the company's growth, expanding to include new bases in Archerfield (QLD) and Bankstown (NSW).
EAM primarily maintains the fleet of single- and twin-engine aircraft operated by Basair Aviation College, ranging from Piper Warriors to Piper Seminoles. In addition, EAM undertakes selected maintenance work for third-party customers.
EAM is part of the Basair Group, a leading organisation shaping the future of aviation education in Australia. With aircraft and facilities across Archerfield (QLD) and Bankstown (NSW), Basair Group delivers pilot training with an emphasis on quality, safety, and continuous learning. The Group includes Basair Aviation College, Australia by Air (charter operations), and Eagle Aircraft Maintenance.

We are now seeking a Workshop Manager (LAME) for our Archerfield branch to lead our Archerfield hangar, following the transfer of the previous Manager to our Bankstown operation.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer, the Workshop Manager (LAME) is responsible for overseeing all hangar operations and ensuring that resources are effectively allocated to deliver high-quality aircraft maintenance services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure the highest standards of aircraft maintenance and airworthiness.
· Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with EAM Quality Control Manual.
· Plan, prioritise, and coordinate workloads to maximise aircraft availability.
· Maintain accurate maintenance records, worksheets, and job documentation.
· Uphold a clean, safe, and efficient work environment for all staff and visitors.
· Lead, coach, and develop team members, including LAMEs, AMEs, and apprentices.
· Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with the Eagle Operations Manual.
· Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will have:
· B1 Engine and Airframe Licence for LAME Part 66 Licence cover Engines and Airframe with Hydraulics as an inclusion
· Minimum 5 years work experience as a Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) in General Aviation
· Piston engine experience essential
· The right to work in Australia.
· A current driver's licence (preferred).
