Hobart, Australia HAYS Full time

Opportunity for a Workplace Health & Safety Coordinator to join a Tasmanian organisation, based in Hobart

**Your new company**

**Your new role**

Based in Hobart and reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, you’ll be providing guidance and advice to internal and external stakeholders on safe work practices and return to work activities. You will also work on policies, training, reducing workplace hazards and all risks surrounding workplace health and safety, across the organisation.

The right person for this role is a collaborative worker who will take on board concerns and ways of working from leaders, managers and workers to be able to appropriately identify, develop and then maintain best WHS practices with support from the Head of Risk and Compliance. For this exact point, you will also be a great communicator.

Further on from the above point, there is a lot of structure surrounding the WHS function currently existing. This role is perfect for someone who is either looking to grow in to and then fulfil the duties of the position or someone who already has a thorough understanding of WHS in the workplace who is looking for a good organisation to partner with.

**What you'll need to succeed**

You will hold a certification in Workplace Health & Safety and/or have proven work experience. As well as being a collaborative worker, you will have the ability to form working relationships with people across the organisation. You need to hold a strong work ethic but also be personable to be able to work with stakeholders.
