**About the role**
The ITI Database Administrator position will be responsible for providing delivery of projects and support of the Bank’s database systems across Asia Pacific region.
ITI provide IT technical infrastructure solutions for the Rabobank Asia Pacific region. It includes the design, implementation and end to end support for the business. Reporting to Head of Infrastructure Services, the Data Management team is responsible for the Database, Middleware and Storage functional areas.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Provide primary support to the bank's MS SQL and Oracle Database landscape
- Provide ongoing monitoring, evaluation and analysis of the database environments to provide optimum performance, tuning the bank's Database infrastructure appropriately
- Provide regular review, analysis and reporting of current database capacity and forecast medium-long term growth
- Ensure the database environment is maintained at the latest patch level and make recommendations for enhancements and version upgrades
- Define and implement Backup & recovery procedures and ensure regular review, analysis and reporting of system availability
- Develop & implement standards, policies and procedures to ensure Database implementations adhere to global and industry best practices to facilitate consistency across environments
- Identify areas for automation enhancements through scripting and scheduling of tasks
- Provide knowledgeable contributions and documentation of the Database infrastructure
- Plan, design and sustain the database environments across the organisation, while ensuring high levels of data integrity and availability
- Maintain market awareness of new products that could potentially offer improved value to the business
- Ensure that all reported issues are tracked through to closure, liaising with development teams and management as necessary
- Ensure IT Infrastructure is insulated from unauthorised access, virus infection or any security vulnerabilities and conforms to Rabobank Standards and Policies
- Create and maintain technical documentation for new installations and systems changes as required
- Due to the nature of this role, you will also be part of an on-call roster with your colleagues

**To be successful in the role, you will have**:

- Proven experience in a DBA role using SQL Oracle and Cloud
- Held a similar role
- Good work ethic and enjoy working in a highly collaborative and contribution focused organisation
- A Customer focused mindset and the ability to deliver multiple pieces of work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in technical and business areas

Prior work experience in banking, financial service or agricultural industry would also be advantageous but not critical to success in the role
