**About the role**

This position leads the day-to-day running of the Centre through providing leadership and guidance to our team of employees, volunteers and students.

All programs and services are free and carefully designed to meet the interests of families and to encourage children’s healthy development. The Warriapendi CPC is a place where parents can
- bring they’re children aged between 0 to 4 years to read a book together, play and make friends
- participate in early learning and pre-kindy playgroups, workshops, information sessions, community events and other activities
- learn about what children need to grow up healthy and happy
- find out about activities and services for families and children in the area
- prepare for a great transition to Kindy

**About you**

You’ll be a confident and positive leader with the ability to manage a multidisciplinary service with a range of stakeholders and communities. With an understanding of child development, group facilitation and trauma informed practice you’ll have a commitment to building the attitudes, expertise and skills of parents, children, communities and the team. Your key experience will include:

- Relevant bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- In depth experience in a similar leadership role
- Knowledge of child development and experience in group facilitation
- Experience in developing and maintain relationships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organsiation
- Experience in working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse people.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with people at all levels
- Ability to coach, mentor and build staff capability in contemporary and innovative practice
- Leadership expertise and ability to use initiative, be proactive and solution focused
- Strong administration skills including MS Office and online platforms
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
