The Superintendent is responsible for managing, coordinating, and supervising maintenance service activities. The Superintendent is the Subject Matter Expert in the electrical area, responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex electrical systems on Naval vessels.

The Superintendent will establish a collaborative working relationship with Ship's Crew, the Commonwealth representatives, and the subcontractors to create and grow a best practice and efficient maintenance engineering services support capability. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in electrical engineering and a deep understanding of electrical systems used in the defence and maritime industry. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent problem-solving skills.

**Accountabilities include**:

- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on naval vessels
- Assist the Engineering team to investigate and resolve technical issues
- Conduct Technical investigations, including triage and reporting of maintenance defects
- Ensure that all work is completed on time and within budget
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure the reliability and safety of our electrical systems
- Provide technical expertise and support to other members of the team
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulations

**Essential**:

- Engineering qualifications (Diploma or higher), with extensive supervisory experience in electrical maintenance.
- Proven skills and experience in leading contracted planned maintenance and breakdown activities in the Defence sector.
- Technical knowledge of Defence Maritime vessels.
- NV1 Security Clearance

**About You**:

- Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver project outcomes with appropriate and timely stakeholder management.
- Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to use and adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of different audiences, is critical to this role.
- Proven ability to work as a member of a team and manage cross functional teams.
