With the infrastructure, personnel and finances in place, this is a significant contract role that requires an individual to lead and support the business within Maritime, and the wider Defence industry.

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent with maritime defence industry experience. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical engineering operations of the organization. You will assist in the selection, management and overseeing subcontractors, engineers and technicians and ensure that all projects are completed efficiently, within budget, and to the highest standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the Ship Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Planning
- Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and productivity
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- ** Conduct**:

- Technical Engineering investigations
- Risk assessments
- Oversee Systems Safety engineering activities related to mechanical systems

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of Maritime experience (Within the defence industry)
- Trade qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience delivering results in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, practices, and standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
