
Manager, Child Protection Workforce Support Team

THE ROLE
As a new initiative to support the child protection workforce, the Workforce Support teams in each Division (North, South, East, West) and Statewide Children and Families Operations will deliver a range of initiatives and supports to child protection managers, Directors and the broader child protection team to assist with recruitment, retention and wellbeing activities.
The Manager will be responsible for providing leadership to the team in supporting the local delivery of the Child Protection Workforce Strategy 2021-24 in the Division. Critical to the success of the role is the establishment of professional relationships with stakeholders such as People & Culture and the Office of Professional Practice.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Lead the Child Protection Workforce Support Team in supporting the implementation and local delivery of the Child Protection Workforce Strategy 2021-24 within the division. This includes oversight and responsibility for the monitoring of recruitment processes and timeframes, health, safety and wellbeing initiatives and child protection workforce planning and strategies.
- Identify, develop, lead and monitor projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the implementation of the Child Protection Workforce Strategy 2021-24 at a local divisional level, building and maintaining strong connections with relevant stakeholders across the department to ensure implementation requirements are met.
