About the Role:
We have a crucial vacancy in our WHS team for an exceptional permanent full time National Injury Management and Wellbeing Manager to join our team. We offer flexible / hybrid working arrangements.

This role leads a team of four Injury Management Partners who together effectively manage a portfolio of workplace injuries that have resulted in Workers Compensation claims and to facilitate the safe and durable return to work. The Injury Management Partners and the Manager, Injury Management and Wellbeing is also responsible for supporting TSA to ensure that all contributing factors to injuries are mitigated to prevent future occurrences wherever possible.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement organisation wide programs, policies, and practices for nationally consistent and effective management of workplace injuries and Workers Compensation claims
- Lead The Salvation Army’s National Wellbeing Framework; including the Mentally Healthy Workplace program focusing on psychosocial risk management and injury prevention
- Report on key injury and Workers Compensation metrics including financial indicators
- Drive continuous improvement in the management of The Salvation Army’s workers compensation portfolio (national) and ensure that all workplace injuries and claims are managed to reduce the cost of claims by regularly evaluating systems, processes and policies and updating them as required
- Promote a culture of safety awareness, injury and incident prevention within The Salvation Army and position the Injury Management team as a key partner and advisor to leadership and management

About you:

- A degree qualification in Personal Injury, Rehabilitation Counselling or an Allied Health profession, WHS, Human Resources or a related field (preferred)
- Cert IV in WHS or equivalent and Certified Return to Work Coordinator
- A minimum 10 years demonstrated experience in a senior Workers Compensation or WHS role with a focus on portfolio management and best practice injury management
- 5+ years experience managing a claims portfolio for a complex organisation with a wide range of professions
- Experience working in multiple workers compensation jurisdictions
- Demonstrated people leadership experience
