**Associate Security Consultant**

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a role where they can continue to develop their technical career within the Security space and who is passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience. This is the first time we are hiring for this position in the APAC region based in our Melbourne office. In this role you will be responsible for supporting our customers in understanding their security needs and deploying our solutions to meet them.

As part of a talented and passionate team, Rapid7 Product Consulting helps customers build and cultivate an exceptional security program through the use of Rapid7’s product suite.

**About the Role**

Our security consultants meet with our customers virtually, and occasionally on-site to understand their security posture, future needs, and then roll out our solutions in the most efficient and thoughtful way. Our goal throughout deployment services is to help our customers achieve their desired outcomes while following industry and Rapid7 best practices.

**In this role, you will**:

- Evaluate information technology architecture within customer environments across a broad range of industries to deploy Rapid7’s solution portfolio.
- Collaborate with customer contacts to understand business objectives
- Translate customer business objectives into technical requirements
- Advise on security best practices.
- Document and communicate design & implementation details to customer end users
- Deploy Rapid7 products within customer environments in a logical and efficient manner

**The skills you’ll bring include**:

- 2 years experience in a customer-facing IT or cybersecurity role (example: Technical Support)
- Experience with the implementation and administration of cybersecurity technologies
- Basic experience with scripting languages (Python or Powershell preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience interacting with APIs (REST/RESTful)
- Experience communicating highly technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Understanding of network technologies and protocols (e.g. DHCP, IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.)
