We require the immediate start of a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Geelong on a permanent full time basis.

About the Role:
The position will see you responsible for the supervision of Leading Hands, labour and equipment to ensure completion of work in a safe, cost effective and timely manner.

Your key responsibilities will be:

- Day to day planning and coordination of resources and equipment and conduct the work in a safe, timely and cost effective manner utilising.
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with the procedures and quality standards as defined in the Job Work Pack as prepared by the Maintenance Planner
- Support the Maintenance Planner in developing and updating Job Work Packs
- Provide daily progress reporting to the Maintenance Scheduler
- Brief and coordinate Leading Hands and labour on work scopes.
- Ensure daily attainment levels are achieved
- Ensure that the standard of workmanship is compliant with the specifications and that specified inspections and tests are conducted and records maintained to substantiate conformance.
- Ensure that the quality requirements of the client are adhered to and that Company procedures are followed.
- Ensure correct material, machinery, equipment and personnel are available and suitable for completion of work.
- Manage consumable and tool usage within workgroup
- Assess risks and hazards involved in tasks and methods to manage the hazards in order to prevent incidents, injury and damage.
- Refer any industrial relations problems to the Site Manager.
- Monitor and ensure compliance of the Safety, Health and Environment Plan.
- Ensure all Leading Hands and labour are suitably trained and possess the necessary skills to undertake their designated OH&S responsibilities by providing appropriate safety training to all personnel.
- Provide training, guidance and counselling to subordinates when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with Station permit to work system.
- Accurately complete daily timesheet and progress update to be submitted each day
- Maintain a high standard of Housekeeping

**Safety**
- Assessment of risks and hazards involved in tasks, and methods to manage the hazards in order to prevent incidents, injury and damage. Prepare Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) for all jobs. Review and update the SWMS with work teams
- Manage Safety, Health and environmental issues on site by monitoring the situation and providing leadership on issues.
- Conduct pre-start meetings daily
- Conduct Toolbox meeting weekly
- Perform safety conversations / audits in line with schedule
- Assist in Risk Analysis as required
- Promote reporting
- Participate and support HSE Representatives in incident investigations
- Ensures the Company safety standards/procedures are adhered to by conducting regular tool-box meetings, audits and investigating any accident or incidents which do occur.

**Quality Assurance**
- Ensures quality standards are met by inspecting and overseeing work and by ensuring procedures are followed and are appropriate for each job.
- Complete Quality documentation as provided in Job Work packs
- Strictly adhere to witness / hold points as detailed in Inspection and test plans

**Required Education/Qualifications**:

- Relevant Trade Certificate

**Desirable Skills/Experience**:

- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in Power Plant maintenance environment
- Minimum 5 years’ Supervisory experience in a similar role, preferably in a Power Plant maintenance environment
- Sound knowledge of safety, quality, construction or maintenance procedures and requirements.
- AS 9001 quality systems knowledge and leadership qualities
- Proven experience managing and leading teams
- Strong commitment to developing and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise, plan, organise and complete work within established deadlines
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with people at all levels in an informative and positive manner
- Strong client focus and a genuine desire to assist team members
- Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products Word, Excel and Outlook
- Commitment to continuous improvement
