**Your new company**
This well-known Federal Government Department is seeking 2 x APS6 or EL1 Program/Policy Officers to join one of their Divisions that contributes to the wellbeing of Australians by developing and implementing national reforms in policy and regulation to achieve sustainable outcomes. Within the Division, your new section leads to cross-jurisdictional efforts on two major reforms.

**Your new role**
Your new team work closely together and collaborate on a variety of daily tasks. Your position will involve a mix of urgent briefing work and longer term analysis and advice. Your duties may include but are not limited to:

- Preparing high-quality decision papers for the Ministers and relevant external stakeholders.
- Secretariat to the Steering Committee and other cross-jurisdictional working groups including preparation of the strategy and advice to the Secretary, meeting papers, agenda and collaboration with other states, territories and industry bodies.
- Liaising with other areas in the Department to coordinate input on a variety of work.
- Assist with the preparation of an implementation plan for a new national automated system dealing with requests.
- Assist to deliver a decision regulation impact statement and draft legislation to the Ministers for a new legalisation.
- Assist to collect and publish detailed data from states and territories as part of a project.
- Assisting with governance arrangements including policy.
- Other duties as required.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful for these positions you will have previous experience within a similar position and the Federal Government. You will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to gather, analyse and present information for decision making, have a flexible approach and the ability to work across a range of tasks, problem solving skills and the ability to take responsibility and deliver results, experience researching, developing and communicating policy and strong administrative skills.

To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
