**Position Summary**

As a Manager at RSM in our SMSF division you will have a broad range of technical, client and supervisory responsibilities. From a technical point of view you will contribute to the preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and business activity statements for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs). In addition to this you will have responsibility for overseeing a portfolio of clients and managing a team of junior staff to deliver work on a timely and accurate manner and finally will provide support to Partners to grow the SMSF division.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Review SMSF work papers and ensure appropriate evidence is documented, before file goes to Audit.
- Share knowledge, best practices and industry market trends to actively increase the overall knowledge of the team.
- Meets with clients and is able to form positive relationships and identify value added opportunities;
- Manages workflow of the team and communicates with partner on a frequent basis on necessary matters;
- Reviews work of team members.
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards.
- Meet lodgement and other reporting deadlines
- Applies knowledge of the SMSF Legislation & related case law to the client circumstances;
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
**Essential**
- Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major

**Desirable**
- Completed or working towards completion of CA or equivalent
- Completed SMSF specialist course

DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:
**Essential**
- 5-7 years' experience in Professional Services
- Previous experience managing a team
- Experience with CLASS
- Strong Communication Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Committed to continuing professional development
- Business Development exposure
