**What you'll be doing**
The Cancer Care Social Worker is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing quality services to Social Work to patients/clients of the SNSW Local Health District in order to meet their health and wellbeing needs.
**Selection Criteria**
- Tertiary qualifications as a Social Worker, with eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Demonstrated highly proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Extensive specialist Cancer Care Social Worker or broad generalist knowledge, clinical proficiency and ability to work with mínimal supervision, and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work / caseload across a regional area.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development, quality improvement and evidence based practice.
- Demonstrated ability to lead planning and evaluation of team activities.
- Demonstrated ability to provide and coordinate staff and student supervision.
- Current unrestricted drivers’ licence and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving long distances across the Local Health District.
