**About the role**:
Provide assistance to Amaroo Village residents through carrying out and/or ensuring all specified maintenance requirements are complete, maintaining lawns and gardens, maintaining tools and equipment as required and adhering to WHS policies and procedures. Actively promote and adhere to Amaroo Care Services Inc Vision, Mission, and Values, embedding the Amaroo Culture and Values in all actions and activities related to this position.

**To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate**:
Maintenance/gardening
- Ensures maintenance requests are carried out in a timely and professional manner to all buildings and facilities.
- Assists Property and Assets team with the coordination of contractors within Amaroo Village Denmark and Albany.
- Ensures gardening including mowing, edging and whipper snipping of lawns is completed to a high quality standard.

Property development
- Undertakes various site inspections as required and provides reports to the property and assets team.

Other
- Liaise with prospective residents and coordinate the viewing of available units at agreed times.
- Provides support to the Property and Assets team in areas relating to property and maintenance in Denmark/Albany.
- Encourages and abides by WHS requirements.
- Other duties as required.

- Ensure WHS principles are applied to every aspect of work.
- Hazards are identified and reported immediately in accordance with the WHS procedures.

- Adhere to infection prevention and control principles and guidelines.

**Essential requirements**:

- Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, including verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels including senior executives.
- Well-developed written communication skills.
- Effective organizational skills within time constraints.
- Sound information gathering, research and analytical skills with problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work within deadlines.
- Current and valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Current Australian National Police Clearance.

**Desirable requirements**
- Knowledge of aged care industry.
- Trade background.
- Horticultural training/experience.
- Intermediate skills with MS Word and Excel.
