Development Services is shaping a better Moreton Bay by assessing and managing the effects of development on the community and environment of Moreton Bay, working in partnership with the development industry to design and construct infrastructure for the community as well as levying and recovering infrastructure charges to fund new and upgraded major community infrastructure.

**About our opportunity**

As a manager and member of the Development Services leadership team, you will lead a team of 8 in the delivery of development assessment and compliance services for the major growth area of Waraba (formally known as Caboolture West) one of South East Queensland’s newest and largest greenfield growth area expected to be home to 70,000 residents over the next 40 years, totaling around 3,156 hectares.

You will be managing a team of planning and engineering specialists providing planning assessment and compliance advice and expertise to key stakeholders in accordance with legislative, policy, and business requirements. You will be a part of a highly dynamic team full of passionate team members. We aim to bring on board someone who will contribute to this environment in a positive and future focused way.

With your extensive experience, you will lead the delivery of planning and engineering assessment of development, levying and recovery of infrastructure charges and negotiation of infrastructure agreements to drive integrated and sustainable planning outcomes. We will look to you to lead the acquisition of developer-contributed transport and storm water infrastructure including developer-contributed transport and storm water infrastructure during construction within the Waraba area of Moreton Bay.

**About you**

We are seeking someone who has high level knowledge and experience in Town Planning or Engineering, hold a relevant degree, and has considerable experience in delivery of a work program, including multiple complex, large-scale development work projects in time critical environments with competing stakeholder interests.

You will have highly developed influencing, negotiation, and communication skills to drive sustainable outcomes and the ability to manage a team of planning and engineer specialists to drive high performance outcomes.
