**Position Summary**:
Support Workers will be responsible for providing care and supports to our NDIS participants in alignment with policies and procedures and the national NDIS practice standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming and daily household tasks.
- Provide transportation assistance to clients.
- Provide respite care to clients and their families.
- Provide overnight/sleepover care as per roster
- Assist with medication administration ensuring that the medication administration policies are followed.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support with a focus on behavioural supports
- Experience working with people with disabilities.
- Day shifts, nights, sleepovers, weekends.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
- Basic care and first aid skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Cert 3 or 4 In community or Individual support - disability. (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)

**Job Type: Contractor**

**Salary**: $38.00 - $83 per hour

**Job Type**: Subcontract

**Salary**: $38.00 - $85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
