- Symmetric Care is seeking highly experienced, compassionate and motivated casual support workers to join our team in Greenvale VIC and surrounding areas. We are seeking workers with proven experience in supporting individuals with mental health issues, intellectual impairment, challenging behaviours, trauma**Responsibilities**:
- Providing complex care and support to our participants, including those with challenging behaviours of concern
- Providing personal care and medication administration
- Significant experience in trauma informed and recovery based support
- Significant experience in mental health and self harming behaviour
- Appropriate and confident incident and high pressure response
- Manual Handling
- Performing domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Transportation
- Supporting community engagement activities
- Behaviour and Mental Health Support
- Implementing PBSP strategies when needed
- Follow policies and procedures
- Effective management of challenging situations.

Highly regarded and desirable:
- Flexible schedule availability and capacity to work rostered shifts
- Nursing / Mental Health qualifications
- Comfortability with therapy animals
- Fluent English
- Clear documentation
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
- Calm and confident demeanour in challenging environments
- Engaging, fun and creative
- Capacity to provide personal care with sensitivity and respect
- Belief in inclusive values and client focus, respect, inclusion, integrity, excellence, and courage

**Requirements**:
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Working with Children Card
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Minimum Cert III in Disability or higher qualification in the relevant field
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Full COVID-19 vaccinations (proof from MyGov)
- Smartphone with iOS 13.0 and up operating system or Android 6.0 and up operating system
