The CommSec Governance team supports the execution of CommSec’s strategy by providing a portfolio view of CommSec’s risk and compliance, ensuring consistent and effective deployment of risk and policy frameworks, managing Committee governance, and coordinating regulatory and law enforcement agency requests.

The CommSec Chief Operations Office supports Australia’s largest trading platform through prudent risk management and helps power our customer obsession. The CommSec Governance team is responsible for running a best-in-class governance function that works proactively to buy down risk and support the business, deliver regulatory and policy change safely and sustainably, and ensure Licensing obligations are well managed and executed in CommSec.

**On any given day you will**:

- Provide secretariat support, including authoring and coordinating papers and reporting, for CommSec governance forums and committees to help create transparency of risk outcomes.
- Respond to CommSec Law Enforcement Agency (LEA) requests, including ASIC Notices, Subpoenas, Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Manage consultation and implementation of Regulatory change and Group Policy/ Frameworks with internal stakeholders, including L2 Compliance.
- Partner with the business to manage risks, compliance obligations and operations within risk appetite, which includes supporting L1 Risk control environment activities (e.g. control design and testing; and issue and incident management).
- Recommend areas of prioritisation to the business for investment, intervention and enhancement to mitigate risk.
- Detect and formulate responses to changes in the internal and external risk landscape that may impact the business.

**We're interested in hearing from people who have**:

- Previous governance or regulatory experience, preferable but not limited to, financial institutions.
- Previous experience in L1 Risk/ L2 Compliance and/or Operational Risk roles.
- Curious risk mindset - all CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
- Pro-active self-starter with strong analytical and problem solving capabilities, attention to detail and developing communication and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively, managing multiple tasks and initiatives at once.
- Proven ability to achieve results with a track record of performance; and
- Demonstrated interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
