Launceston, Australia Optimal Community Support Services Full time

The primary objective of this position is to provide direct support to participants which aims to promote the dignity of the participant, enables them choice and control and support them to develop their full potential. Community Support Workers may be required to work with participants, one-on-one, in a group situation or in a supported independent living environment. You will be required to work with other Community Support Workers in supervised group situations or independently with limited supervision in a supported independent living environment
- Participants receive appropriate levels of support essential to promote and maintain independence and participate in age-appropriate activities._
- All participants receive a high level of care and support as per their Support Plan._
- Personal care is provided to participants in a caring and supportive way._
- Documented evidence demonstrates that service procedures are followed._
- All OCSS Policies and Procedures are followed._

**You must be able to demonstrate**
- **Demonstrated morals, values and attitudes that aim to support the dignity and independence of our participants.**_
- **Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of choice and control when dealing with participants with respect to their decision making and consent.**_
- **Demonstrated ability to perform the physical requirements of the role.**_
- **Demonstrate a willingness to undertake personal care services with our participants.**_
- **Demonstrate a willingness to undertake all induction training.**_
- **Demonstrated ability to use technology such as smart phones and computers.**_

**Must have or be able to obtain**
- Current Drivers licence _
- Current Working With Vulnerable People Card _
- Pass a National Criminal History Check _
- First Aid / CPR _
- Assist Clients with Medications Certificate_
- Recognise Healthy Bodies Systems Certificate_

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Shift work

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
