Disability Support Worker

**About the role**:
We are seeking fun, enthusiastic and hard-working support workers for our client in Lynbrook.

Our client, who is living at home with a complex spinal cord injury, requires additional support workers to join their team on a casual basis. Our client has a 24/7 roster, morning, afternoon and sleepover shifts available Our client is an animal lover so being comfortable with dogs is a must.

**Duties**:

- Full assistance with personal care and manual handling
- Assisting and supporting our client in their home and in the community
- Supporting the client in achieving their set goals for the day
- Providing true and authentic companionship to the client
- Medication administration and management

**You must currently have**:

- NDIS Worker's Screening Check
- Valid Australian Driver's License
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Medication Administration Certificate
- Certificate III/IV in Disability or other relevant qualifications

**Skills and experience**:

- Experience with providing personal care to clients with high needs - this includes bowel care and assistance with showering
- +6 month manual handling experience (using hoist machines)
- Must possess an approachable, calm and respectful demeanour
- Great attention to detail
- Be a reliable team player
