Job Description: Medical Practice Manager

Position Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
1. Practice Operations Management:

- Oversee and optimize the daily operations of the medical practice, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage scheduling, patient flow, and appointment coordination to minimize wait times and enhance patient satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance practice performance.

2. Staff Supervision and Training:

- Recruit, hire, and train administrative and clinical staff members, ensuring adequate staffing levels and skillsets.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the practice staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement professional development plans for staff members.
- Coordinate staff schedules, manage payroll, and maintain accurate records of employee attendance and leave.

3. Financial Management:

- Develop and manage the practice budget, including monitoring expenses, optimizing revenue generation, and ensuring financial sustainability.
- Oversee billing and coding processes to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims and proper reimbursement.
- Collaborate with billing and accounting departments to address financial issues, resolve discrepancies, and maximize revenue collection.
- Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to enhance revenue, control costs, and improve financial performance.

4. Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:

- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA).
- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of patient care and service delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in healthcare regulations and best practices, and communicate updates to staff as necessary.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and promoting patient safety.

5. Patient and Stakeholder Relations:

- Foster positive relationships with patients, addressing their concerns, and ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to streamline processes and resolve issues.
- Implement strategies to attract and retain patients, enhance the patient experience, and promote the reputation of the medical practice in the community.
- Serve as a liaison between physicians, staff, and external partners, facilitating effective communication and teamwork.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Previous experience in healthcare administration or medical practice management, preferably in a similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with staff, patients, and stakeholders.
- Proficient in using practice management software, electronic health records (EHR), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and work well under pressure.
- Understanding of medical billing, coding, and reimbursement processes.
- Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
