Ignite Dreams Staffing Agency is seeking caring and dedicated individuals to join our team as Support Workers for Children aged 0 to 9 years old. We are currently seeking support workers to provide care and assistance to children aged 0 to 9 years old with disabilities. This role involves offering support tailored to the specific needs of each child, promoting their well-being, and assisting with daily activities. - Provide nurturing care and support to children aged 0 to 9 years old by promoting a safe and stimulating environment.
- Assist with daily activities and routines, such as feeding, diaper changing, toileting, and nap times, ensuring the well-being and comfort of each child.
- Assist and collaborate to engage children in activities that stimulate their physical, emotional, social and cognitive development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and professionals, and maintain open communication with supervisors to address any concerns or needs.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the different settings, including maintaining hygiene standards and following safety protocols.
- Previous experience working with children aged 0 to 9 years old.
- Genuine love and passion for working with children, with a nurturing and patient attitude towards them.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and interact effectively with children, professionals and families.
- Understanding of child development principles, and the ability to create and implement age-appropriate activities and routines.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and relevant certifications, including CPR and first aid training.

In Ignite Dreams we aim to assist young children with developmental delay or disability, and their families, to enable the child to have the best possible start in life. Our Early Childhood Approach is for children younger than 6 with development delay or younger than 9 with disability.

Our early childhood approach focuses on being both family-centred and strengths-based. We do this by acknowledging that as parents and carers you know what is best. We concentrate on understanding what each child can do.

Our early childhood approach recognises that parents and carers are central in supporting a child’s development.

**Services we provide**:

- In home care
- Increase a child’s ability to do needed or wanted activities.
- Increase a child’s inclusion and participation in mainstream and community settings like playgroup, childcare or preschool.
- Provide timely support to ensure that families can access the supports they need.
- Empowering families to confidently manage their child’s needs.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $26.24 - $52.65 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Rotating roster
- Shift work
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
