Reece Property Department offers property solutions for all Reece brands throughout Australia and New Zealand; including facilitating capital works program delivery of major and minor store renovations, new branches, relocations and expansions.
**About the role**
To help realise our vision, we are seeking a motivated Property Development Manager to join our team. You’ll be responsible for liaising with our Operations Team while overseeing the process of property development, from identifying potential development opportunities to assisting with the sign off process and procurement of the Development Approvals for all new branches.
**Responsibilities include (and are not limited to)**:
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal team and key stakeholders.
- Source, evaluate and recommend acquisition and development opportunities in line with growth strategy.
- Undertake acquisition due diligence and financial analysis for specific properties.
- Manage negotiations for new sites (Lease & Purchase)
- Provide specialist advice to support operational functionality and inform strategic planning.
- Prepare business cases, feasibility assessments and presentations for internal stakeholders and Board.
- Work with town planning consultants to obtain Development Approvals and prepare handover packs for construction team.
- Uphold to the Property Team Leadership Intent & Identity Anchors ; being; Inclusive, Curious, Caring, Transparent & deliberate.
- Contribute to development of the team with respect to coaching, mentoring & leadership
**Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience**:
- Relationship Building: The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders, including senior leadership, staff, customers, and suppliers.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding appropriate financial measures and using them to make informed business decisions.
- Communication: Actively seeking and sharing information, encouraging discussion and timely communication using various communication methods.
- Functional/Technical Expertise: Possessing relevant knowledge and skills with industry experience and at least 7 years’ experience in a property / leasing related activity.
- Organising and Planning: Having strong organising and planning skills, managing time wisely and effectively prioritising multiple competing tasks.
- Problem Solving and Decision Making: The ability to identify problems, solve them, act decisively, and show good judgment.
- Results Orientation: Focusing on outcomes that align with the business plan, being motivated by achievement and persisting until the goal is reached.
- Presentation Skills - Ability to present effectively, both digitally and in-person, to audiences across varying degrees of seniority; in order to inform, gain support and collect opinions. Demonstrate use of presentation technologies confidently while fielding audience questions to ensure meeting agenda/objectives are met.
- Technology Savvy - Use technology effectively for the good of the business. Proficiency with MS Office programs (Including Microsoft Teams) will be a definite advantage (some on-the-job coaching available). Powerpoint or other presentation software an advantage.
