**What you will do**:
- Payroll processing on a weekly basis for all store employees in Australia and New Zealand
- Review and import of weekly store employee time clockings into Micropay the Time & Attendance system
- Audit checks of time entries for accuracy and approval of overtime in each of the weekly payrolls.
- Set up of new employees, including allocation of staff numbers and distribution of staff cards
- Terminations and Redundancies
- Calculation of tax liabilities and submission of PAYE/PAYG withholdings.
- Month end processes including reporting, journal entries, account reconciliations, processing superannuation contributions & employee deductions.
- Upkeep of payroll related stationery items including distribution to stores.
- Maintenance of Time & Attendance system
- Supporting the Payroll Manager with various other Payroll tasks as and when necessary, including the monthly Payroll and taking on additional responsibilities in the absence of the Payroll Manager
- Assisting with administration relating to company vehicles
**What you need to be successful**:
- Experience in a similar Payroll Officer/ Assistant role within a retail or similar commercial organisation would be highly regarded
- Solid experience in Administration
- Experience using Micropay would be ideal but not essential
- Creative and innovative with fresh ideas and always looking for improvement
- A genuine love of working with people and building relationships
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good attention to detail and highly organised
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise a varied and often changing workload
- Hands on with a can-do attitude and willing to get involved in a wide range of tasks
- Exceptional skills in Microsoft products.
