- Support staff and students in the safe use of fabrication equipment, fosters hands-on learning, and oversee the daily operations of the Maker Spaces, including the Timber and Metal Workshops.
- Collaborate in state-of-the-art interdisciplinary spaces that inspire creativity and experimentation with cutting-edge technology, materials, and processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Contribute to an open, inclusive, and welcoming University environment, whilst managing the delivery of Core Services to achieve optimal outcomes for all users of the Maker Spaces.
- Engage all users with respect, professionalism, and a willingness to share your expertise within a teaching & learning support environment
- In collaboration with the Machine Workshop Coordinator and Lead Technician, develop and update equipment operation procedures as required.
- Ensure practice of and adherence to established OHS and safety protocols. Report to the Machine Workshop Coordinator any issues or changes required to processes and protocols to continually improve safety practices.

**Who We Are Looking For**

You will also have:

- A relevant qualification with experience in fabrication, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated interest and experience working with wood working equipment. Experience with metal working and/or computer-controlled fabrication equipment like 3D printers and CNC routers is also desirable.
- Experience supervising students in a workshop environment.
- The ability to investigate and rectify faults with relevant equipment.
