**The Opportunity**
Our client is a national company. They have a reputation for excellence and commitment in their industry and are growing. They are seeking a committed and diligent Accounts Payable Officer to work in their Accounts Payable team. Based on the City Fringe they are looking for a fun person with a can-do attitude. Ideally this is an office-based role.
**The Role**
Reporting to the Shared Services Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Full function Accounts Payable
- Customer payment allocation
- Reconciliations for major accounts
- Process invoices for goods and service received by business and ensure they are coded correctly
- Ensure that discrepant invoices are resolved daily.
- Ensure that all credit notes are reviewed, matched to short payments and / or processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Weekly and Monthly Payment runs
- Be responsible for the reconciliation of vendor statements to ensure that all aged items are addressed and followed through to resolution.
- Ensure queries are resolved daily and support vendor onboarding.
**Skills and Experience**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Good communication skills - both written and verbal
- An enthusiastic and positive can-do attitude
- Reliable and punctual attendance
- Experience using Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel
- OCR knowledge highly desirable
- General accounting knowledge and invoice coding experience will also be highly advantageous
- The ability to work autonomously and with a high-volume workload.
