**The Opportunity**

Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is seeking a motivated **Battery Operator** to join the **Coke Plant 1** team. The Cokemaking process plays a vital role in producing the iron and steel that support Australia’s manufacturing industry.

As a **Battery Operator**, you’ll play an important hands-on role in operating and monitoring the Cokemaking process. Working as part of a skilled and safety-focused team, you’ll support the smooth running of daily operations to ensure stable production, environmental compliance, and efficient plant performance.

This role works a 24/7, 12-hour rotating roster and is overtime eligible.

**What will you do?**

Whilst building effective relationships, both internally and externally. You will also:

- safely operate and monitor Cokemaking equipment to maintain consistent production and product quality.
- proactively identify and respond to plant issues to minimise downtime and maintain asset reliability.
- contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, environmental performance, and process efficiency.
- support operational excellence through adherence to procedures, teamwork, and effective communication across shifts.
- promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility in all plant operations.
