2 x Support Workers (qualified)

**Commencement**
Immediate start

**Support Workers**must have;
- Current first aid certificate
- Working With Children check
- NDIS Workers Screening check
- Drivers license & clean, fully insured vehicle
- Relevant qualification or industry experience

**Essential skills**
- strong interpersonal skills
- good written and verbal communication skills
- an ability to adapt to unexpected situations or the changing wants and needs of clients
- good organisational and time management skills

**Desirable Experience**
- supporting participants with physical disabilities (including personal care)
- supporting participants with AOD
- supporting participants with challenging behaviours

**Pay**
Your wage will depend on level of education & training and industry experience as per SCHADS _(Social & Community Home Care & Disability Services)_ Industry Award.

Note: Shift times _(e.g. afternoon shift, Sundays etc_) & allowances can add to your fortnightly wage.

**Hours**
Casual - minimum 10 hours per week - maximum 38 hours per week.

These can include weekend & after hours work, sleep overs & stand up night shifts if you express a desire to work these shifts. Our rostering department will work with you to fit in with your availabilities.

**My Village Carers Support Worker Duties and Responsibilities**

The daily activities of our support workers vary depending on the needs of our clients, but their main duties and responsibilities can include:

- helping clients to develop new skills so that they can live as independently as possible
- assisting clients with exploring hobbies or new interests
- working with clients to manage risk, plan goals and implement support services
- providing assistance with household tasks, such as cleaning, doing laundry, planning meals and cooking
- some basic medical care, including dressing wounds, administering medication and performing first aid, as required
- working closely and collaboratively with clients to explore their needs, put support in place and create opportunities to enhance their wellbeing and growth
- supporting clients with finding or starting a new job
- keeping detailed records of activities performed and the client’s progress

My Village Carers are a registered NDIS Provider operating in Bendigo, Maryborough & surrounds.

We strongly believe that it takes a village to support those in need. From the client themselves to everyone involved in coordinating and completing their support. Working together, communicating openly & always being connected.

We offer Support Coordination, Disability Support, Home Care (domestic assistance) and Aged Care Support. We also employ our own in-house cleaning and gardening staff to help support our clients.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $31.76 - $75.17 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 38 per week
