Allianz have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Underwriter where you will be responsible for providing a high level of underwriting service to our broker stakeholders and working collaboratively with our broader underwriting and distribution teams to ensure our customers are put at the heart of our decision-making.

**You'll be responsible for**:

- Work closely with a team of Underwriters and Account Managers to source and underwrite profitable new business opportunities.
- Execute effective new business strategies whilst leveraging renewals to further develop relationships with our key business partners.
- Work effectively with the broader Underwriting Team to develop capabilities and foster a collegiate underwriting culture.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within Branch and other divisions.

**Important to your success**:

- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to both build relationships and influence at all levels.
- A strategic thinker with an analytical mindset and the ability to problem solve.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal which allows exceptional negotiation and influencing capabilities.
- Sound data analysis skills which will allow you to understand the portfolio performance and gain insights for improvement.
- Knowledge of the Australian insurance market, industry practices and governing legislation.
- Motivation to expand, learn and grow within a high performing team.
