**About the Department**:
The Anatomical Pathology department is 24/7 Monday to Friday. Being a public pathology service, cases can be complex with transplant and urgent biopsies as well as frozen sections throughout the day and night. The team consists of laboratory assistants, technicians and medical scientists and there are varied task based rosters including surgical cut-up, routine histology, Cytology preparation, IHC, data entry and laboratory support rosters.

**About the role**:
As a Grade 1 Medical Laboratory Technician (casual) you will be expected to perform Routine Histology, Cytology preparation, laboratory support and data entry as well as the possibility of direct transfer cut-up.

You will join a friendly supportive team of scientists and technicians who genuinely enjoy their work and the contribution they make.

**About you**:
As well as possessing an appropriate qualifiication, experience in a similar laboratory and competence in routine Histology would be an advantage. Flexibility to work varying shifts either evening or early morning would also be highly desirable.
