The Liberation Clinic is a HAES aligned, specialist allied health practice treating eating disorders and body image concerns in the Sutherland Shire and surrounds.

We’re a small team of dietitians and a psychologist, looking to welcome a new APD (full-time or min 3 days/wk) who is truly passionate about building (or furthering) a career in this specialisation. We want to welcome a colleague who believes recovery is possible for everyone, and is a confident anti-diet advocate.

This position is open to early-career HAES aligned dietitians, as well as experienced clinicians. If you share our values, we’d love to hear from you, and we’re happy to offer close support, in-house weekly supervision, along with a program of training packages to get you up to speed.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Completed introductory eating disorder training, and dietetic related eating disorder training.
- Experience in private practice, or community setting
- Willing to work with young people and their families, and receive training in Maudsley Family based Treatment, if not already trained.
- Demonstrated commitment to own professional development in HAES and eating disorders. (Please list relevant & recent training completed).
- Must be an APD and eligible for Medicare provider status, with own public liability and professional indemnity insurances, min $10Mil coverage.

**DESIRABLE**
- Training in a counselling modality, particularly Motivational Interviewing. Practice Pavestones courses highly regarded.
- Able to teach intuitive eating & mindful eating concepts to assist patients to normalise eating and respond to internal cues, when clinically appropriate.
- Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of how to integrate HAES concepts with eating disorder treatment, provide a weight-inclusive service, and respectfully advocate for patients with their other treatment providers via phone/ written reports.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team, or alongside mental health professionals.

This position will also involve assisting the team with some practice admin tasks, such as responding to patient enquiries on occasion, rebooking and billing your own patients outside of reception hours, some marketing and resource development tasks, and developing and maintaining relationships with other providers.

**PAY RATES**

Pay is in line with relevant experience, with additional allowances for CPD and external supervision.
