**The Role**:
This role requires frequent travel across Australia and New Zealand and a proactive approach to customer support, service and sales.

**Skills Requirements**:

- Experience as a Field Service Technician in the flat glass machinery sector (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Glass Industry (required)
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
- Self-starter with a high degree of initiative.
- Customer service orientated with excellent communication & relationship management skills.
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Strong organisational, analytical, mechanical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office Applications & Autodesk AutoCAD.
- Excellent written and verbal skills. English (required). Italian (preferred).
- Relevant Qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent to suit the flat glass machinery sector.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Onsite installation, repair, maintenance and testing of a range of flat glass machinery systems.
- Scheduling of Service visits.
- Create & implement preventative maintenance plans for customers.
- Initiate service contacts.
- Provide phone assistance, technical support and troubleshooting for customers. This may include some after-hours work.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure long-term satisfaction.
- Fault diagnosis and solutions. This may include verbal & online communication with the international manufacturers’ technical support teams. Due to time zone differences this will include after-hours work.
- Provide detailed written service reports.
- Provide customer, machine operator & other service technicians’ training as required.
- Identify and promote spare parts and tool sales opportunities.
- Serve as the communicative link between our Spare Parts/Service Department and the Sales Department.
- Observing and adhering to onsite OH&S procedures.
- Extensive travel a throughout Australia and Internationally including further training at the Manufacturers’ European premises when deemed necessary.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
