**The opportunity**

Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in the Business Services team, you will ensure the organisation’s financial planning and performance is managed in a responsible and sustainable way. You’ll drive the development and delivery of strategic and operational financial governance, and management of all aspects of the Finance function (i.e. accounting, treasury, taxation, long-term financial planning, reporting, capital investment, etc.). Importantly, you’ll act as a key advisor to the COO, Managing Director, and Board.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead an uplift program to develop and optimise financial accounting, commercial, finance capability and maturity, and capital investment teams, to bring about collaboration through a proactive, strategic approach.
- Ensure strong levels of governance and compliance with all statutory obligations.
- Provide accurate and timely advice and guidance to the Executive and Board to ensure short, medium, and long-term financial sustainability.
- Lead the Finance team to build and maintain effective working relationships across the enterprise including the provision of timely and accurate budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
- Develop financial business partnering maturity.
- Be a key influencer across the Business Services function, the Executive/Senior Leadership Team, the Board, and the broader organisation.

**Skills & Experience**
- Experience leading a finance function in a large organisation with a strong commercial and business partnering background.
- Extensive experience in developing the financial capability of the Financial Services team, and broader business customers.
- Significant experience in the implementation of a financial services delivery model.
- Technology transformation experience covering all core enterprise functions.
- Significant experience in driving operational efficiencies, process improvements and implementation of innovative improvements that deliver ‘value -adds’ to our internal and external customers.
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships and mutual trust with The Board, Executive leaders, and other Senior Managers.
