**About the role**

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Payroll Manager to join our finance team on a 12 month contract. This role will be based in Allambie Heights and have you report directly to our Chief Financial Officer.

The Payroll Manager will provide high level support to managers and provide expertise in relation to Payroll functions and introduce initiatives to improve the overall Payroll Systems. To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in the delivery of large and multiple payrolls, possess thorough understanding and knowledge of awards and EBA’s. You will have experience in managing and mentoring a payroll team.

Responsibilities include:

- Overseeing and responsible for the quality, accuracy and timeliness of all payroll functions including auditing processes.
- Ensuring the team have a full understanding of the payroll system and processes and you will review quality of output
- Identify and continually improve our payroll processes and procedures as and when required
- Provide advice and reports in relation to terminations and redundancies
- Responsible for employee/manager payroll queries and responding in a timely manner
- Responsible for processing taxation, superannuation and payment summaries
- Responsible for training, upskilling and mentoring the team, and recruitment if required.

**About you**

We’re looking for someone who has:

- Advanced Excel skills
- Advanced knowledge of Chris21 and Riteq is preferable
- Previous experience managing and mentoring a high performing team
- Experience with high volume payroll function
- Attention to detail
- High level of communication
- Ability to meet regular and tight deadlines
- Excellent stakeholder management experience across the business
- Experience in not for profit sector would be desirable
