Our client

u&u Recruitment has partnered with a member-based organisation that provides a range of services, including insurance, financial services, and travel services. This organisation is recognised for its commitment to its members and a decade of providing high-quality services. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Audit to develop and implement the Group Internal Audit strategy, offering independent, risk-based assurance, advice, and insights to the Boards and Audit Committees.

The role

As the Internal Audit Manager, you will be responsible for the below:
Implement the approved Internal Audit Strategy and Annual Audit Plan efficiently, by effectively managing and allocating both in-house and co-sourced audit resources within the agreed timeline;
Conduct various audit, assurance, and advisory services for risk management and control improvement;
Provide ongoing assurance and advisory services for business transformation, including strategic projects;
Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to achieve results in challenging settings;
Implement internal audit quality assurance programs, overseeing audits and ensuring compliance with standards;
Strong communication and professional report writing skills;
Advanced technical internal audit skills in standards, risk management, and control framework design and validation;
Work individually or in teams, including managing co-sourced resources and stakeholders;
Resource allocation, monitoring, and project management for timely completion of audits;
Lead, coach, and develop outcome-focused teams, meet goals, and drive continuous improvement within the internal audit team (4-7 direct reports); and

Proven commercial problem-solving skills, sound judgement, initiative, and decision-making in complex situations.
