Short term opportunity for an Economic Analyst in the Brisbane CBD
**Your new company**:
Hays has partnered with a State Government Agency which has two short-term vacancies available for an economic analyst. This is an opportunity to join the agency on either a five or eight week placement based in the Brisbane CBD.

**Your new role**:
As the Principal Project Officer, you will be involved in economic and commercial analyses and the provision of advice on the development and management of financial incentives and funding agreements that aim to boost Queensland’s economic development and competitiveness.

**Responsibilities may include but are not limited to**:

- Manage and execute high-quality, cost-effective benchmarking and economic impact assessments for industry and infrastructure projects seeking financial incentives across various funding programs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of programs that
- Identify and implement projects fostering high-quality job growth.
- Develop key performance indicators for major strategic projects, considering value for money and economic impact assessments. Create metrics and measures for benefit identification and realisation.
- Review economic impact assessments and cost-benefit analyses for significant projects under the Coordinator General.
- Coordinate comprehensive responses to Queensland-related foreign investment proposals, providing input to Federal Treasury.
- Assist with commercial assessments and funding agreement development as needed.
- Monitor and report on funding agreements using spreadsheets.
- Lead and manage staff and project teams when required, supporting the Director.
- Foster an environment that values performance, superior client service, continuous improvement, and innovative delivery of high-quality services.
