**About the Role**:
As our Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. Working closely with HR and Finance, you will handle payroll processing, superannuation, leave entitlements, and reporting. You will also be the first point of contact for payroll queries.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- End-to-end payroll processing (weekly
- Ensure compliance with relevant awards, EBAs, and legislation
- Process new starters, terminations, and payroll adjustments
- Superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax reporting
- Maintain accurate employee records and timesheets
- Respond to internal payroll queries in a timely manner
**What We are Looking For**:
- 2+ years’ experience in a payroll position
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation
- Experience with payroll systems (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar)
- Experience in building related industry would be well regarded as well as working in the fast face environment.
- High attention to detail and strong numerical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
**Desirable**:
- Previous experience working in construction Industry
- Cert IV in Payroll or Finance (preferred but not essential)
