**Job Title**: Mainframe System Administrator

**Location**: Melbourne, Victoria

**Experience**: 5+ years

We're looking for an experienced Mainframe System Administrator to join a leading financial institution in Melbourne, Victoria.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with leading financial insitute through our client consultancy onsite, and be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for managing and maintaining the latest Mainframe Core Systems.

**As a Mainframe System Administrator, you will be responsible for**:

- Lifecycle management of RESVOL, HIPER, MCL, IODF, etc.
- Subsystem (Application) Capacity management
- Next gen subsystem software IMS/MQ/DB2
- Promote/Support efficient Database coding practices
- Capability uplift - DR, Insite Recovery, HA, VIPA, redundancy, etc.
- Delivering on key security technologies and initiatives such as ACF2, Syschange, CyberArk, Encryption
- Support Application customers to run efficient and sustainable code (CICS/Broker)

**To be successful in this role, you should have**:

- 5+ years of experience in Mainframe System Administration
- Strong change planning, management, scheduling, and implementation skills
- Experience with subsystem management/maintenance (IMS/MQ/DB2)
- Excellent incident remediation skills (Automation/CICS/Broker)
- Mainframe API design/build/maintenance experience
- Application Database design/build/maintenance experience
- Experience in High availability system design and build
- Knowledge of DR strategy and design (system and subsystem levels)
- Experience with automated event management (alerting design/build/maintenance)
