The Labour Hire Authority **(LHA**) protects Victorian workers from exploitation and improves transparency and integrity in the labour hire industry by regulating businesses that provide or use labour hire services.

LHA licences labour hire providers, monitors and enforces compliance, and supports providers, hosts and workers to understand and comply with their legal obligations**.**

Established to administer the _Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018_ (Vic) (**LHL Act**), LHA is an independent agency whose work is wholly funded by licence fees from labour hire businesses.

Since 2019, LHA has expanded its program of industry engagement, compliance and enforcement, growing its small and dedicated team to around 120 staff and establishing a strong track record.

LHA employees are offered hybrid and flexible working arrangements in accordance with Victorian Public Service and LHA policies.

**About the Position**

The Manager Strategy and Governance will be responsible for leading a high performing team, to build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders so that the functions of the branch are effectively delivered. The Manager Strategy and Governance applies their proven public sector experience in delivering timely, sound, practical advice and guidance on strategy, governance, integrity and policy matters.

As a relatively new organisation, LHA continues to evolve and grow. This role plays a key part in ensuring LHA's organisational strategic and governance foundations are supported and sustainable through continued change. Success in the role will ensure LHA's ongoing operational sustainability and compliance to support delivery of the objectives of the Act.

This position has a flexible work location with an option of Melbourne CBD or Bendigo.

- Experienced public sector leader with demonstrated capability to manage and develop others to deliver organisational governance, risk, strategy and integrity functions.
- Effective communicator and listener, be able to build and maintain good relationships with our stakeholders
- Demonstrated Leadership capability and the ability to bring together a wide variety of resources to achieve specific goals
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills
